Every year NMEFCU awards the Andre' A. Foreman/Robert O. Kirby Scholarships to qualified members who are graduating high school seniors and will be attending an accredited institution for higher learning. On April 16, 2009 scholarships were awarded to Michelle Cholko, Tyrane Jefferson and Heather Dawson. Applicants were evaluated on grade point average and evidence of commitment (such as school, work and volunteer activities, honors and essay).
